New Perspectives for New Stories: Digitization of Cultural Events @ HACNUM x Chroniques 2020

  • HACNUM 41 Rue Jobin Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, 13003 France (map)

In this keynote on the digitalization of cultural events in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Maurice shared about the development of MUTEK’s virtual festival platform and how this digital environment propelled the cross-continental activities of the MUTEK network.

The cultural sector knows how to be resilient. While going through a period of crisis, what are the new modalities of writing, production, and display that the cultural sector can offer? And what are the new stories to tell?

For one day, HACNUM - the National Network of Hybrid Arts and Digital Cultures - invited to discuss the digitalization of cultural events with national and international guests. Artists, directors, choreographers and curators talked about the past year of activities impacted by the COVID19 pandemic, as well as their projects and perspectives for the year to come.
