Soundscapes of an Earthly Community

Soundscapes of an Earthly Community was programmed in Audinua Saldun, a 46-hour 8.1-channel listening ger at Synthasia Open Air in Saldun Village, Hongcheon, 12–14 June 2026. Hertz and Dough curated the shared-listening environment for Synthasia Festival. The 20-minute work played several times across the weekend.

Soundscapes of an Earthly Community is a spatial sound performance responding to Achille Mbembe’s call to reenvision more-than-human relations through the in-common.
